Jaguar All-Electric & Plug-In Electric Hybrid Models
January 29 2024,
With the success Jaguar has had on the electric racing circuit, the brand is taking the same innovation to the streets. In 2024 and beyond, it’s transforming its vehicles towards fully and partially electric-powered while not sacrificing power. Here’s what you need to know about Jaguar’s all-electric and plug-in electric hybrid models.
Fully Electric (BEV)
Jaguar’s electric vehicles in the BEV range provide power and performance with an electric motor and a battery. Thanks to this system, you have zero emissions from the exhaust with an almost silent drive. At the moment, only the Jaguar I-PACE falls into this category.
Jaguar I-PACE
The stunning Jaguar I-PACE takes an example from the brand’s electric racing vehicles with its regenerative braking and advanced suspension for improved aerodynamics. With an EV range of up to 381 km, the battery will take you just over 10 hours to charge completely. The I-PACE R-DYNAMIC HSE is the only trim available with an EV400 powertrain, starting at $110,140*.
Plug-In Electric Hybrid (PHEV)
If you’re not keen to rely on electric alone, you can try the Jaguar PHEV vehicles. They also create zero emissions when only using the electric motor, but you can switch to the gas engine for longer journeys. The Jaguar F-PACE and E-PACE predominantly have trims in the PHEV category.
Jaguar F-PACE
When it comes to Jaguar PHEV excellence, you’ll want to check out the F-PACE. Performance ranges from 246 to 542 horsepower, while the vehicle has a beautiful black exterior. There are three trims: the F‑PACE R‑DYNAMIC S has P250 and P400 engine options, while the F‑PACE SVR has the P550. The starting MSRP for the trims ranges from $71,750* to $110,020*.
Jaguar E-PACE
Are you looking for compact performance in an SUV? The E‑PACE R‑DYNAMIC SE has a P250 package that delivers 246 horsepower on Canadian roads. The Sating Grey vehicle has adaptive cruise control, which helps you manage your speed in slow traffic. You can grab one of these Jaguar PHEVs with a starting price of $60,800*.
Mild Electric Hybrid (MHEV)
While MHEVs produce carbon emissions, they are lower than pure gas vehicles. The powertrain is designed for urban areas where you mostly stop and go in slow traffic or with several stopping areas. While Jaguar also lists the F-PACE and E-PACE as mild-electric, we’ll be focusing on the XF model here.
Jaguar XF
The XF R‑DYNAMIC SE has a P300 engine that delivers 296 horsepower. The front direction indicators are animated, with lights for the day and night. The Meridian sound system amplifies music so that you have an entertaining drive through the country. The MSRP for this Jaguar MHEV is $68,950*.
